The story of how St. Patrick’s raises money each year for the Fund speaks to me of the kind of generosity of spirit that is such a part of a Catholic Way of Life.
On Wednesday evening, with an invitation from Fr. Timothy Castor and the parish community of St. Francis of Assisi parish in Sturgis, we held an Andrew dinner for high school youth and young adults.
Spiritual Motherhood was established for the good of the priesthood by the Congregation for the Clergy on December 8, 2007. The congregation had three main goals in mind: the renewal of an authentic priestly life, the fruitfulness of priestly pastoral ministry and an increase in vocations to the priesthood.
Last evening, our high school leaders from our summer Boys Totus Tuus Camp met at Blessed Sacrament in Rapid City for Evening prayer and a great dinner prepared by Fr. Brian Lane.
As the summer comes to a close for the Office of Vocations from the many activities and events, this quote from the French educator Jean Baptiste Massieu comes to mind, “Gratitude is the memory of the heart.”
